Awards & Clients

Wicklow Willow won the Sculpture in Context Award in 2018.
We have been selected to display several of our art pieces at the ‘Sculpture in Context’ Awards over the last number of years.

Sculpture in Context is judged by a team of professional sculptors and artists and we won the 2018 Sculpture in Context Award for Aoife’s wonderful installation ‘A Walk in the Park to Look at the Crows’.
Other pieces selected for Sculpture in Context include the bronze and willow piece ‘Sciath na Gréine‘, created with well-known bronze sculptor Ciaran Patterson, which featured in 2019.

Wicklow Willow were delighted to be part of the team that won the 2019 Gold Medal at Bloom in the Park 2019.
We were part of the Cheshire Ireland team that won the Small Concept Garden Gold Medal with ‘Moving Forward – Building My Best Possible Life’ designed by Rúaidhrí Bashford for Cheshire Ireland. We had the pleasure of building the centerpiece to the garden entitled ‘Nest’.

Returning to Bloom in 2023, we were delighted to be commissioned for elements of two award-winning gardens.

The Gold-winning “First 5 Garden of Wonder and Discovery” designed by Oliver & Liat Schurmann, sponsored by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth featured willow and birch arches and an enormous birch nest, all woven on steel armatures. This garden also won Best in Category, and the People’s Choice Award.

We also featured in the beautiful “GOAL’s Global Garden” designed by Tünde Perry, sponsored by GOAL Global, winning the Silver Gilt medal and Best in Category award. This garden featured an enormous lattice work living-willow dome representing Mother Earth.
